Today feels odd. It’s odd because Battlestar Galactica won’t be aired tomorrow. The series is on hiatus until 2009. How does a die hard SciFi Fan survive? For me it’s the perfect time to catch up on series I wanted to see but didn’t have the time for. Firefly for instance, or rewatch the old Battlestar Galactica, or Babylon 5, Buck Rogers and many other series. I can also watch films. And the best of it is that I won’t have to leave my house to do so. Sure, I always can rent a DVD, but I am also able to watch the content of ABC.com, NBC.com, CBS.com, Fox and of course Hulu.
I’m outside the USA, so I needed to buy access to a computer based in the US to be able to do so. This is called a VPN connection. It’s not that expensive and I’m totally hooked. I installed the connection on my MacBook, meaning that I can access the content from everywhere where I’m able to go online using any broadband internet connection. The service I’m using is called VPN Gates. So stay tuned, some TV series and film reviews will appear here on my blog in the upcoming weeks.

We have been watching Buck Rogers at the house, interspersed with season 1 &2 of the Monkees and the Hardy Boys Nancy Drew TV show. I may also recommend the PC http://www.herinteractive.com games. we play as a family and it provides hours of fun and there are great little nuggets in there as well.
I have also used http://tools.rosinstrument.com/proxy/ with some success, but you may need to try a few to get good speed.
All the best!
