Today I've been thinking about possibilities to remain on-track with all my activities. I need to work full-time, run a household, have a social life, achieve a Master's Degree and possibly have some hobbies too. I need to squeeze it in a day that has only 24 hours. So I need to live as efficient as possible without stress. This seems to be impossible. Let's see how a typical day looks like for me:
| 12:00am - 7:00am | Sleeping |
| 07:00am - 8:00am | Getting up & going to work |
| 08:30am - 5:00pm | At work |
| 5:00pm - 6:00pm | Going home & buying food |
| 6:00pm - 7:00pm | Unwinding, preparing dinner and having dinner |
| 7:00pm - 9:00pm | Browsing the internet, doing some chatting |
| 9:00pm - 10:00pm | Doing my daily workout routine and having a shower |
| 10:00pm - 11:00pm | Wrapping up the day and going to bed |
| 11:00pm - 12:00am | Sleeping |
This is how a normal working day looks like, I have one day in the week off, I have to do chores and administration then and have to attend some appointments. In the weekend I can relax.
Now I want to visit some friends who live far away more regularly, so that has to be scheduled during the weekends. Besides I'm picking up my education which costs at least 20 hours each week. I can free up half of that during my days off (5 hours on Thursday and 5 hours on Saturday). Which means I need to find 10 more hours in the four remaining working days. That's a little over two hours each day. So if I cut down in internet activity, gaming and the like, I can free up these hours. So after dinner I have to study and then go to bed. I will have some time during the weekend for socnets online and visiting friends.
I also want to start my own website, buy a domain and host a home-build website. I also want to start podcasting. That would have to be squeezed in the weekend. But I already see I lose one of the two days because I need to study and the other one is dedicated to seeing friends far away. Probably I need one or two Saturdays a month to do my online stuff.
In theory it looks doable, but how do I manage not to waste any time and keep track of all my appointments with limited internet access? I already bought an old-fashioned agenda, but I'm not very good at writing down my stuff. I also have an old PDA from a friend, a Sony Clie that runs Palm OS. Maybe there's a way to sync it so I can carry it with me and also sync it with Evolution and Google Calender. Hmm...

I’ve been through various electronic forms of GTD, but find that a simple Moleskine planner or the Hipster PDA (google it) seems to work out fine for me. In my job it shocks some peers that I would be so retro.
More than an agenda, I suggest that you need to prioritise your activities.
@Ottayan,
Anyway, I found a way to keep track of my duties today: Remember The Milk. There’s a script (GreaseMonkey) that lets me integrate it with my Gmail. It’s kinda neat.
I know, there are just too many activities I love to do.
