Downtown

spiraling shapeToday I spent a long day in downtown Groningen. It started with a lunch meeting with an old friend. It was very good to speak Dr. Bennard again. To my great relief he was very positive about my recent change in religious orientation. After lunch he had to meet with his future father-in-law, who is a Dutch Reformed minister, for their wedding service. I went to the public library to get a €5 card with gives 10% discount in lots of stores and a booklet with coupons for free museum entrance. When I have my H2 I certainly will have to pay our museums a visit.

The next appointment I had was choir rehearsal in the cathedral and the opportunity to ask my priest about translating the Scriptural Rosary. It turns out that one line I need for the Glorious Mysteries isn't in my missal but in a Marian Missal he doesn't have himself yet. So I need to wait with that one until after Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mother (August 22). Oh well... In between lunch and choir rehearsal I sat in a coffee house to work.

After Choir rehearsal, I had to go to Groningen Central Station for dinner, catching up on everything and in about 10 minutes I will be on the train to a birthday party of one of my friends out of town. I will spend the night out of town and be back tomorrow morning. After the Students' Mass I have to help out with the St. Augustine Parish's BBQ.

I need a break on Monday. :P
